Project Initiation

First we help everybody understand the why:
We facilitate approval from stakeholders of a baseline of requirements that is grounded on their strategic intent

+ SCRUM

We then flesh out these requirements in JIRA stories that are ready for development. We create a steady sprint rythm with your teams, accelerating story mapping, refinements and acceptance

BA SERVICE

Leverforce functions as an end-to-end business analysis service (Project Initiation + Scrum)
This phased approach (engaging business and IT providers separately) optimizes stakeholders’ time, ensures solutions are business-driven, and rationalizes competing estimations of delivery by 3rd parties.

PROJECT INITIATION SERVICE

Elicitation & Collaboration with Business: A Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) will elicit, specify and model requirements gathered from stakeholders, making sure that business strategy is driving the changes proposed by the initiative.

Define Design Options: The Business Analyst then works with your solution architects and implementation experts to define a high level design of the technical components of the solution, and of the operational and organizational changes needed to implement it successfully.

SCRUM SERVICE

User Story Mapping:  The BA takes on the Project Owner role during the scrum and facilitates joint design with the development team, fleshing out project initiation requirements in JIRA user stories.

Refinements & Acceptance: The BA brokers agreements on stakeholder prioritization to enable epic and sprint planning. He also clarifies and refines acceptance criteria, and expectations on the ´definition of done´ for the user stories. As the technical team is ready to deliver the functionality, the BA remains engaged to facilitate user acceptance of delivered products.

OUR PRACTICE

We pursue the right mix of People, Tools and Processes to make our practice efficient and effective:

Our BAs hold the CBAP® designation. They are seasoned requirements managers with thousands of hours of certified professional experience.

We make a smart use of Open Source tools during Project Initiation and integrate your approved requirements seamlessly into your JIRA instance when working on scrums.

We follow a down-to-earth application of the Business Analysis Framework of reference (BABOK®) when conducting business analysis activities. We maintain and share the body of guidelines and knowledge that support our BA activities in the Leverforce Academy. This flexible framework enables us to follow any methodology implemented by our clients: AGILE, SAFE, ITIL®, Waterfall, etc.
